On last Saturday I went to the Taking Back Sunday concert in Sydney.
I had last seen this band play in 2010 at their soundwave sideshow and that was the first time I had even seen them play live.
Back then I had been up front for the show and it was one of the best nights of my life. Later that same year this band meant even morre to me as I had a really bad year and they were one of the bands that got me through it all and i would try and re-live that concert experience to feel better but of course i could never get back that same experience.
This time around I didn’t go on my own and I brought my boyfriend along who normally doesn’t go to many concerts but he knows how much music means to me so he came along as well and seemed to enjoy himself.
I had a freaking amazing time. I think Adam kicked ass on the first two songs in my opinion. I was ready for an awesome show but he killed it really good. The rest of the set was amazing and i loved the setlist they picked. Pretty much perfect as you can get.
Would have liked to be closer to the front but I was content right where I was.
The next day, Sunday I headed to Melbourne for the next TBS show.
Got up the next morning with a smile on my face and one of my parents drove me to the airport.
I check in and then I sit near the gate area for my flight and I look around and who do I freakin see.. no one other than Adam’s face and the rest of TBS just chilling around but also looked a bit tired.I so badlly wanted to just say hello and tell them what an awesome show last night had been but I was nervous so I tweeted about it.
Finally when I got the nerves they announced it was time to board the plane so I thought I had lost my chance and may have to try after the flight to say hello.
So I start to line up so they can check my ticket before boarding and I noticed the drummer Mark kind of on his own and one person was in front of me and then it was Mark so I kind of cut the line lol and said “hey Mark” lol and introduced myself. He was kind and smiled and engaged in conversation. I told him I had been to the Saturday show and it was awesome and I thanked him and the band for coming back to Sydney as I saw them a few years ago. I also told him I would see him at tonight’s show/Sunday show and he seemed impressed I was flying down.
That was kind of it.. but awesome lol and then I had to ‘follow’ him onto the plane as he ended up sitting four rows in front of me and he turned around to speak briefly to me before he sat down :)After I got off the plane I was met by my wonderful santi (angie) and friend Megan and Angie’s mum and decided not to bother with autographs or photos.Later on I met with Megan and Laura at the concert venue to re-live the amazing experiene that is TBS live and to to hear the same setlist which i loved the previous evening.
Sang at the top of my lungs both nights and don’t regret it.

Tomorrow I get to see my favourite band live. My Chemical Romance.
Sometimes I don’t really know how to express how much much this band and their music and their messages mean to me. But here are some lyrics from a musical that kind of explain part of it. MCR changed my life.
Who can say if I’ve been Changed for the better?I do believe I have beenChanged for the betterAnd because I knew you…Because I knew you…Because I knew you…I have been changed for good

Even though I’m excited to see Paramore on Friday night and the Smashing Pumpkins on Saturday night, what I’m REALLY looking forward to and I’m psyched about is this, the Glam Nation tour. I’m going to get to meet Adam Lambert again, dress up in my glam and glitter outfit and get to see Adam perform live. Can’t freaking wait for next Wednesday :D

I got next weeks shifts after work today and I’ve just realised now that I am probably going to be so exhausted even before I get to the Entertainment Centre for Paramore’s concert next week. I have 8 hours of work on Thursday and then Friday the day of the concert I work 7 hours 45 mins with a start at 7:45…. ahhh! And I’m already standing up all day at work… hopefully my excitement, happiness, hyperness (I don’t think that is a word lol) etc. will help me to keep going throughout the day and evening *fingers crossed*
