P!nk released “Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely)” as one of the last singles for 2006’s I’m Not Dead.
As opposed to most of P!nk’s songs which are filled with undertones of angst, inklings of resentment, and the exposure of social decay, ”Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely)” is a fun song. ”Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely)” is P!nk asking everyone to leave her alone so she can enjoy just being by herself. It offers an alternative to constantly being around others and is perhaps a subliminal jab at the paparazzi.
“Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely)” did not have much exposure and never charted on American charts. It’s a shame, considering ”Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely)” is such a letting-go song, which I think closely compares to “Raise Your Glass”.
“Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely)” features both acoustic and electric guitar, P!nk’s vocals, and subtle drumming that make P!nk the rocker we know her to be.
